Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza is Topless

Miss Universe 2008, Venezuela’s Dayana Mendoza, has come under fire this week as an ad campaign featuring her almost completely nude has been discovered. The Sun UK reports:

The 22-year-old Venezuelan beauty stripped off for a sexy jewelery ad campaign before signing on as a contestant. Although the key snap – of Dayana topless with her arms covering her boobs – will not offend British readers, it has caused controversy in more conservative countries. The President of the Miss Universe organisation jumped to the defence of her queen. Paula M. Shugart said: “Dayana is not in jeopardy of losing the title. “We embrace and respect her success as a model and the artistic beauty captured in these photographs. They are artistic in nature and don’t have an ounce of pornographic content to them.”

The banner picture is the least boring one of the photoshoot, so if there’s an uprising to remove her crown, those people crying out for it should be at least shot in the kneecap for being uptight morons. It’s a good thing Britney Spears didn’t win Miss Universe. I’ve seen every inch of her body and the dumb bitch wasn’t even paid for showing me. Not only would they take Britney’s crown away, she’d be put in stocks in the town square and the village children would be given rocks to stone her.

Miss Puerto Rico May Have Lied

Ingrid Marie Rivera, Miss Puerto Rico 2008, won the chance to compete for Miss Universe by beating out 29 other contestants on Sunday in spite of her competition gown and cosmetics testing positive for pepper spray, in what many believe to be a alleged sabotage. Rivera maintained her composure and applied ice packs to her hive-covered body when she was not on camera, while also suffering a bomb threat and the theft of her credit cards. However, police officials find it a little strange that she was able to stop crying between camera appearances. People reports:

The reported skepticism about Rivera prompted Today show host Meredith Vieira to inquire on Tuesday’s broadcast if, possibly, crime-scene investigators believe the pepper-spray claim may have been imaginary. “They’re saying, they think she made it up?” Vieira asked reporter Kerry Sanders, who replied: “They’re looking into it. They’re curious.” Rivera is due to be interviewed on Wednesday’s Today show, where, on Tuesday, co-anchor Matt Lauer said he intended to get to the bottom of the mystery.”

I have no idea who any of these people are, but I just watched the Today Show and Meredith Vieira just debuted at #5 on my “People I’d Most Like to Pepper Spray” poll. Congratulations, Meredith!
