Joanna Pacitti Makes Losing Look Good

Joanna Pacitti, the professional amateur singer who was part of not one, but TWO reality TV shows about singing (First Year on MTV and American Idol, currently broadcast directly into the brains of humanity, it seems). She got kicked off the 8th season uncermoniously and like every smart an empowered woman, immediately cashed in on the one quality more superficial than her ability to sing pitch-corrected pop songs: her smoking body.

Here she is, probably selling something else, but really selling off her shame. Shame is cheap, but oh so rewarding when paired with a bikini. Like selling dildos with a webcam (patent pending).

Joanna Pacitti Got Disqualified

Although she forgot every last lyric of her last judged performance, Joanna Pacitti, the contestant many believed to be a plant (um, yeah), was selected to be part of American Idol’s Top 36 last night. This morning, she’s not. Gee, I wonder why? MTV reports:

It has been determined that Joanna Pacitti is ineligible to continue in the competition,” read a note on the official “Idol” site, which did not explain why Pacitti was disqualified. “Felicia Barton has replaced Ms. Pacitti as part of the top 36.”…According to the Los Angeles Times, an unnamed source close to the show said Pacitti was bounced to “avoid the appearance of impropriety.” It has been reported that Pacitti had some close personal relationships to some of the executives at 19 Management, one of he companies that helps produce the show and manages some of the winners.

Man, it must suck to be this chick. The only way she can get famous now is to kill herself and hope she comes back as Felicia Barton. Good luck!

Joanna Pacitti is Living the Dream

The 8th season of American Idol continued their auditions in Louisville last night, and one of the best singers so far, 24-year old Joanna Pacitti from Los Angeles, was unanimously chosen to move on to Hollywood to compete in the next round. Kara DioGuardi, the new AI judge, immediately recognized her and said she was “signed by A&M”. What Kara DioGuardi didn’t go on to say was that Joanna Pacitti was signed by A&M Records at the age of 16. Or that her debut album was released in 2006. Or that she’s appeared on Good Morning America and MTV. Or that she’s appeared on the soundtracks of Legally Blonde and Bratz. Or that she’s friends with Fergie. Now she’s on American Idol. I don’t want to be an asshole here, but if someone could draw a picture of her career, it would be a burning plane flying into a mountain. Her auditioning for a karaoke contest is like David Tua trying to make a comeback by boxing kangaroos at the fair.
