Lee Thompson Young, who had roles in Smallville, Friday Night Lights, and Scrubs after getting his start on Disney's The Famous Jett Jackson, killed himself this morning at the age of 29. Deadline Hollywood reports:
Rizzoli & Isles co-star Lee Thompson Young has died in apparent suicide. He was 29. “It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning, said Young’s long-time manager Jonathan Baruch.” “Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed. We ask that you please respect the privacy of his family and friends as this very difficult time.”
It's not all asses and weaves here, and sometimes we have to deal with real life stuff like a 29-year old man who decided the only way out of his pain was to commit suicide. It's times like this when we realize no matter how we think we have our shit together, all it would take is very bad day and we'll all be thinking about doing the same thing. You're never as strong as you think you are, and you're never as weak as you make yourself to believe you are either. You never really now what somebody else is going through, so stop being dicks to complete strangers and thinking you're better than everyone else. Because here's the thing: you're not. Maybe somebody just needs to hear a kind word to get them through the day. For instance, today I told a girl that her friend was "way hot" and "skinny" and "do you even go to gym?". Girls love when you compliment their friends like that!
