VH1 is scheduled to air a new reality series, Band of Men, that will follow four ex-boybanders, all living in the same house for a month, as they create a new act – Sureshot. The singers will include Chris Kirkpatrick of N’ Sync, Jeff Timmons of 98 Degrees, Rich Cronin of LFO and Bryan Abrams of Color Me Badd. Michael Hirschorn, an executive VP at VH1 said:
It could be a complete disaster, and they might not get along. The hope is something will click. I think there is, among younger women, a huge affection for these guys and that moment in pop culture. Even though people often call the music shallow, girls loved this stuff.”
Ask any psychiatrist and they’ll tell you the key to a successful life is to live in the past. That’s why this show will be a big hit. Because the 14 year old girls who liked this awesome music 12 years ago still have the exact same musical tastes now. Nothing has changed. Everybody still wears acid washed jeans and drives Suzuki Samurai’s. Many music insider’s are already saying that Sureshot may be the best band of 1995, and according to my Walkman, they just might be right.
Why pictures of Aria Giovanni instead of boybanders? I really hope you didn’t say that out loud!
